Katelyn + Mikayla | Lake Park Engagement Session

Meet Katelyn and Mikayla, a delightful couple whose love story began in the vibrant city of Chicago. As they look forward to their winter wedding in the Windy City, they decided to have their engagement photos taken in Milwaukee.

The picturesque Lake Park set the stage for a memorable engagement session, bathed in the warm hues of a gorgeous fall day. Katelyn and Mikayla, admitted they are not accustomed to being in front of the camera, but embraced the experience with grace and enthusiasm.

We took a a leisurely stroll through Lake Park allowing time for the discovery of quiet, intimate spots that became a wonderful backdrop for their love story. After overcoming any initial camera shyness, Katelyn and Mikayla’s authenticity shone through in every frame, capturing the essence of their relationship.

A highlight of the session unfolded near the iconic Milwaukee Art Museum, where the vibrant oranges and reds of the surrounding shrubs harmonized beautifully with their chosen outfits. The bushes near the museum, a personal favorite of mine, provided a stunning backdrop at literally any time of year. Check out some of the gorgeous florals in the spring here! Engagement sessions can be daunting, especially for those unaccustomed to being the focus of a photo shoot. However, Katelyn and Mikayla embraced the opportunity to showcase the depth of their connection.
