Krista + Scott | South Shore Pavilion Wedding

Krista and Scott’s South Shore Pavilion wedding was super exciting…in more ways than one.

The day started super windy and super rainy. Every couple and wedding photographer’s dream *insert eye roll* but it does make things a little exciting! We all were up for the challenge, grabbed some umbrellas, and braved the rain. We did their first look by the lake and photos down the road from the venue. All outdoors and all gorgeous despite the weather. In fact, you couldn’t even tell the weather was a little grey based on the smiles on their faces. Troopers!

Krista and Scott both have kiddos so it was really important to include them in the ceremony as they became one big blended family. Both kiddos hung out with them during the ceremony, at times even crowded right around their legs. It’s the best spot for seeing what’s going on after all! The four of them also put a puzzle together during their ceremony to symbolize their family coming together. Unity ceremonies are always cool, but this was definitely one of the best I’ve seen!

Their light Halloween theme was evident during the reception. Their cake topper and purple and green uplighting were the perfect Halloween additions to their decor. Krista and Scott also had a little surprise for their guests: the Thriller dance complete with a smoke machine. It was epic! However, the smoke got a little thick and…well…the fire department responded, bringing even more excitement to the day. The whole night was a lot of fun with a lot of dancing and a special appearance from Krista’s dad in a cat costume. Because, Halloween.

And, to keep the excitement going a little longer? The next day I saw them trick or treating as a zombie bride and groom in their wedding gear. I mean, if that wasn’t the best way to wrap up their South Shore Pavilion wedding weekend, I don’t know what was.
