Emily & Elaine | Chicago Engagement Session

Elaine and Emily’s Chicago engagement session was sublime. Love stories often begin in unexpected places, and for Emily and Elaine, theirs blossomed during the unique circumstances of the pandemic. As they prepare to say “I do” in Milwaukee, I had the privilege of capturing the essence of their love in two special locations in Chicago.

The pandemic brought challenges, but for Emily and Elaine, it became the backdrop for the start of their beautiful journey. Their relationship began outdoors, and it was only fitting that we embarked on an engagement session that reflected the warmth and comfort they found in each other.

Our first stop was Tom Ping Park, a place that witnessed the beginnings of their love story. This park served as the setting for their first dates during COVID, and capturing them against the backdrop of shared memories was truly special. A lot of smiles were shared between them we reminisced about the moments that laid the foundation for their relationship.

The second part of our adventure took us through the couple’s neighborhood in Chicago. This is where Emily and Elaine currently live, making it an intimate and significant location for their engagement session. Every corner held a story, and every photo captured the essence of the neighborhood they proudly call home.

One of the standout moments of the session was in front of a vibrant mural at Tom Ping Park. As a photographer who appreciates the artistry of murals, incorporating this visual masterpiece into their photos was a joy. The colors, the couple themselves, and the backdrop of art created a stunning visual narrative.
