What To Wear Wednesday: Just the Kids

This week I decided to do a little style guide inspired by my awesome special I’m currently running. In honor of mother’s day if you book a session before May 4th you get 25% off the cost of your session!
This week I decided to create a look for a kids portrait session. I really love all the bright colors this season. All the pieces you see here have been selected from theGap and piperlime. My favorite items here are the baby loafer and the girls floral dress. I am half tempted to head over to the gap and buy the dress for Leah to wear in a few years! I almost wish I had a big family to dress up in all these cloths and go out and photograph. I’m in no rush though, one two year old is enough for me currently!

Emily & Tom | Engaged

I had a really fun time hanging out with Emily and Tom last weekend. With all the rain we have been having I wasn’t sure we were going to be able to shoot but it cleared up for a few hours and we were able to get some great shots at Trimborn Farm. A great find by Tom, I had no idea this place even existed but it is absolutely beautiful right in the middle a residential area in Glendale. I can’t wait for their beach wedding later this year.

Welcome to What to Wear Wednesday! I’ve decided to start a new little segment on my blog. I’ve been in my closet recently and noticed I have nothing to wear (or so it seems). Whenever I have a big event I need to dress up for I have even more trouble getting dressed. It’s that time of year again. It’s finally warm enough for us to go to the zoo! Leah’s just gotten to the age where she really enjoys animals and learning different things so she was a HUGE fan of the zoo this trip. When we went last year she liked it – but this year was a lot of fun. I can’t wait until I can get her a zoo pass so we can go whenever we want. When I was in college one of my favorite things was walking to the Lincoln Park Zoo in the dead of winter when no one was around. You could just sit and hang out with the animals.

This week there weren’t too many people walking around so Leah was able to get up close and personal with a lot of the animals. Her favorites were in the Ape house.

Here are a few of my Hipstamatic shots from the trip. I didn’t bring my big camera, but I really like how these turned out!

Since I live in Milwaukee I don’t have a lot of opportunities to take headshots for people. But, I really enjoy doing so! I had a lot of fun working with Silvia last weekend shooting with her down in the third ward. I had a really hard time picking out the photos I liked the best from this shoot, but, here are some of my favorites.

Finally! Getting around to writing about my last wedding of last season! I absolutely loved working with Sharon & Aaron. After taking their engagement photos I knew they would be a ton of fun to work with on their wedding day. AND they were! Not only were they just as awesome as I remembered them but their wedding party was also a ton of fun.
